Will Smith's advice to Screenwriters

Hey everyone, this morning as I prepared to start my day  I came across a video of Will Smith  talking about the reasons most screenwriters have trouble succeeding in Hollywood and you'll be surprised to learn what they are. Check out the video below and tell me what you think. Also there is information about a script contest. Link to   Script Contest hosted by Will Smith and James Lassiter

Introduction

Hello everyone and welcome to Screenwriters Depot. I would Like to take a moment to introduce myself, my name is Luke, and I'm a screenwriter. I've written several shorts and right now I'm working on a full length. I started this blog because I noticed that there really weren't many places on the web for screenwriters, novice, professional or those who fall somewhere in between to gather and discuss the process of screenwriting. There are plenty of places for novelist and Poets, but hardly any for screenwriters and hopefully this blog can be our gathering place. I would like for this blog to be a place for  all writers to come and talk about their projects, teach, share ideas, maybe even collaborate. Once again welcome and I hope to hear from you soon.
